The founding members of Mission Support Inc. have extensive experience dealing with the aftermath of crisis and disaster, from family relationships to wildfire, storms and tornado’s. These events are becoming much more frequent and there is an identified desire within community, to be ready for the next one. Traditional response has been to deal with the physical damage, but increasingly people are becoming aware of the long-term mental wellbeing issues that follow crisis or disaster.
In the workplace things are also getting increasingly stressed – time pressures, under-staffing, long hours … plus trying to fit in family. This can lead to increased sick time and lost productivity – but can often be reduced by way of appropriate workplace support.
We would like to be part of addressing these needs.
